Hello,

So, I recently built a PC and while running fully stock, really rarely, I get a random freeze. Can't do anything but move the mouse arrow and either have to push the reset or hold the pwr button.

Since I have 2133mhz RAM and a z77 extreme6 (AsRock) [Will provide detailed specs below], I tried using XPS profiles and making 2133mhz default RAM speeds, also, I OC'ed my CPU To 4.6GHZ.

The thing is that as soon as windows loaded up, everything was completely laggy, I could start realtemp and my CPU temps were ranging from 28 to 35C. A few seconds later, BSOD.

Tried going down to 4.4GHZ. At first everything seemed OK, but a few minutes later, while starting up some programs, BSOD again. Lowered to 4.2GHZ, same thing.

Now I'm running at 4.0GHZ and it last almost an hour without any weird problems, I've also lowered RAM speed to 1800mhz since I suppose it can be RAM issues.

Didn't even bother running Prime95 yet because I know how things are ending. Can it be my OS or HDDs? I have a 1TB and a 160GB one (not an SSD) and they are both almost filled up. I'm about to get a new one and sort my files more properly, but right now, I just can't format any of them.

_______

MoBo: AsRock Z77 extreme6
CPU: i7 3770k
RAM: G.Skill Sniper 16GB (Dual Channel 4x4GB)
PSU: OCZ ZT 750

Cheers!

I'll run memtest after I have some sleep. It's almost 7am and I've been trying to figure this out up till now.
