I'm building a budget gaming rig and I'm looking at the ivry bridge clelerons and pentiums. Do all LGA 1155 mobo's support these processors even if they specifically don't list them?

yes all ivy bridge pentium's and i series [ like core i3-3220] support them apart from the extreme i [ like core i7-3970X]series. infact they are backwards compatible with sandy bridge too because sandy bridge CPU's also have same socket. another side note is if you use K series cpu [ i.e : intel core i5-3570K ] you should chose a Z77 mobo. and if your using others then go with H77 or B75 mobo.

Forgive my ignorance, but can you explain why you prefer a H77 or B75 mobo if you are getting a non-k series CPU. I was looking at the i7-3770k and a Z77 mobo, but then I thought I really don't need to overclock so I could save about $40 by just going with the plain 3770. I figured keeping the same mobo (Z77) would be fine but I read your post and so I am wondering if there is some advantage to using H77 or B75 mobo with the plain 3770 cpu?
Thanks in advance

I'm not the guy that posted that, but there is no advantage for them. Just look for a stable motherboard that has great reviews and that is compatible with your CPU.
