So I've had my GTX 570 for some time now, and with the new generation of games coming out in the next year, I want the best setup for gaming. (along with some Adobe stuff like Flash and PhotoShop).

I've read other posts, so to help out here is my current setup:

System
-----------------------------------------------------------
Motherboard
Manufacturer: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd.
Model: GA-990FXA-UD3
Total amount of system memory 16.0 GB RAM

CPU
AMD FX(tm)-8350 Eight-Core Processor

RAM
16GB

Graphics Information
Display adapter type NVIDIA GeForce GTX 570
Total available graphics memory 4095 MB
Dedicated graphics memory 1280 MB
Dedicated system memory 0 MB
Shared system memory 2815 MB
Display adapter driver version 9.18.13.1106
Secondary monitor resolution 1680x1050
Primary monitor resolution 1920x1080
DirectX version DirectX 10
-----------------------------------------------------------

Options - (Budget: ~$300)

So here are my 3 options (suggest any better ones you may think of):

Option 1
- Buy a second GeForce GTX 570 of equal Memory and SLI it
- Not sure if every game will use the SLI to it's fullest ability
- I've heard mixed things regarding SLI'ing

Option 2
- Buy a GeForce GTX 660 Ti
- Heres the product title: EVGA GeForce GTX 660Ti SUPERCLOCKED+ 3072MB GDDR5 DVI-I, DVI-D, HDMI, DP, SLI Graphics Card (03G-P4-3663-KR) Graphics Cards 03G-P4-3663-KR

Option 3
- Buy an AMD Radeon 7950
- Heres the product title: Gigabyte AMD Radeon HD 7950 3GB GDDR5 DVI-I/HDMI/2x Mini-Displayport PCI-Express Graphic Card GV-R795WF3-3GD

- First time with an AMD Video Card
- Any Pro's or Cons against Nvidia?
-----------------------------------------------------------

If you managed to get this far, thanks for reading my long post and extra thanks to any feedback

Much appreciated,
Colby

660ti vs 7950 is a very close race. If you're planning on multi-monitor or resolutions above 1080p, go for the 7950. If PhysX is a big deal for you, go for the 660ti. If neither one matters ... I personally chose the 7950 due to its large VRam size and 384-bit memory bandwidth.

Actually, the complete opposite is true. The 660ti is one level below the 7950 in the latest hierarchy chart.

Hi unless you're hung up on Physx 7950 hands down, as already stated the 7950 @ stock is closer to the 670 then the 660ti, which is limited by its memory bus as per.. http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/geforce-gtx-660-ti-memory-bandwidth-anti-aliasing,3283-11.html. If you get a good overclocking 7950 it will equal or go past the 670 in many games and even match the 7970 stock. But hey some people just prefer Nvidia :)

Fair point actually +1 wait a couple months see what goes on with pricing there.

So what's reasonable? (not the $3,000 like it's posted on NewEgg for some graphic cards xD)

Whats reasonable is whichever one fits your budget :) the 760 ti iirc is meant to be a rebranded 670 with faster clock rates and more VRam, the 770 is a 680, and the 780 is a cut down Titan. If you really can't wait then get a 7950 boost. Personally I'd stick with the 570 a few more months and wait for a price war when the AMD 9000 series is released
:)
