In some near time i will be building a new computer and i have choosed most of the components, but i am still considering the gpu..

AMD FX6300 (will overclock)
Arctic Freezer 13
Asus M5A97
Kingston HyperX 2x4GB 1866Mhz
Corsair CX600 modular
Samsung SSD 840 120GB
Sharkoon Vaya Value case
a bit older monitor at 1680x1050,although planning to upgrade in next year or so

My budget can fit in all graphics cards listed below, but i am not sure if all this cards are worth their prices. My plan is not to upgrade my pc for a very long time (3-4 yrs.) so if a card will be a better long-term choice i am willing to pay the extra.

these are the gpu's and their prices in my country:

MSI GTX660 Twin Frozr 3 - 287 USD
Sapphire 7870 Ghz edition - 300 USD
XFX 7950 Core Edition - 390 USD
Gigabyte GTX 660 TI windforce - 399 USD
Sapphire 7950 Vapor X - 425 USD

Honestly, from all the cards listed i like the VaporX the most, but i am afraid it is just not worth the extra over that 7870 for example..

Also if you have any comments on the build feel free to write them down,i would like to hear some opinions :)

Solution
The 7950 will last you the longest before needing to be upgraded, as for sapphire vs xfx that is all personal choice. I am using the XFX Core 7750. But both have very good cooling and performance.

I have heard a lot of people complaining about the xfx cards, although i think it is just a bad luck if you encounter a bad unit..

The Sapphire card has higher clock speed (850mhz versus xfx's 800mhz) and has boost which brings it up to 925Mhz..
is that difference worth buying the sapphire one? especially considering that i don't really want to have trouble with OCing the gpu... but then again 25 bucks is 25 bucks ..

Clock speeds are important but may not sway people from card to card. The sapphire card is better overall, not by much but still has an advantage, it will last longer and run slightly better but if you are really tight on money the xfx one will work.

yeah i still don't know which one to take..
i saw on sapphire's website that the card is 5mm longer than my case can fit so it leaves me with a choice of either paying some extra for a better case or cutting this one lol.. i don't know do the people mod cases that way? after all it is just 5mm of cutting the hdd area :)
the xfx however can fit in the case and is cheaper, but is runnning at much lower clock speeds.. i don't have an idea which one to take

As long as the case has multiple hdd slots there should be room for the card to stick into the area without any modifying, if you dont feel comfortable doing that you can get a different case or the lower card. At this point its do you want that case or do you want the card. Either way would still be good, its all just opinion now.

it's not like i want this case so badly,it's just that it is a very nice case with all the features i need for an excellent price.. but i am very worried that the card won't fit in it .. if it doesn't it still is possible to mod the case?
take a look at this photo, that is how the case looks

You could probably make it fit in the case by bending, or cutting some of the extension bays. The case might also just say it supports that length of card yet have an extra few centimeters for things like this. Plus I have that motherboard currently in my build and it has 2 pci-e x16 slots so you might be able to move it down so it poked into the hdd bays. If it worries you that much, dont push your luck, go for a card that you know fits but may run slightly slower, the 7950 is a beast of a card so a few Mhz wont make that much of a difference. I would rather have a card that fits than a faster one that dosent.

Thanks for help..
it seems like i will be getting another case though, there are couple more expensive ones but still within the budget so i'll probably take one of those.. anyways,my question about the card has been answered, thanks for help once again :)
