Basically I do not have the expertise (or spouse permission) to build the gaming pc of my dreams. But I have been given the go ahead on this.

Its 400 pound on amazon. ( http://www.amazon.co.uk/OCHW-COMPUTER-Multimedia-BULLDOZER-Operating/dp/B007SNNLQC/ref=lh_ni_t_mi?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A8RKQID9I1V2B#productDetails )

Taking into account I can not and will not be able to get anything more expensive, how will this do for playing modern games on (hopefully) high settings at either 1152x864 or preferably 1400x1050? What will I be looking at running e.g skyrim on high, BF3 on high or whatever an example or two to put it in perspective for the less computationally intelligent (i.e me :p) would be much appreciated. I understand the graphics card is a little outdated but not sure how much so.
You can clearly see I need the upgrade, but how much of an upgrade is it.

Here are the simple specs of it if you dont wanna hit the link and/or it doesnt work

Processor Brand AMD
Processor Type Athlon 64 FX
Processor Speed 4.4 GHz
Processor Socket SocketAM3

Hard Drive Interface Serial ATA
Graphics Card Description ATI RADEON HD 2GB 6670 HDMI , VGA, DVI

This is a simple breakdown of my current system

the dreaded....vista..... 32 bit nonetheless :p

Thanking you in advance for your time,

Stephen

That 6670 is not really a gaming card. Might run modern games a low settings. Just google 6670 bf3 benchmark and you'll see what I mean.

To be honest, that system doesn't look much better than what you have now.

Can not see your 2nd option wish list.

I am not AMD person. I suggest Intel, besides- new processors will be released early June- now is good time to buy discounted Intel. Not know much about conversion to US $ so can not tell on a price, but you can find some good combos of parts.

Ok but thats definitely the better option then. And it will fare better regards the gaming I am hoping for yes? I am not looking to be running at 1080p at 90 fps, an average 40 @ 1400x1050 would do me fine :p I just do not have the funds to purchase anything better I am sure you understand
