Hey, my HIS Iceq Boost 7950 3GB is getting rather hot in particular games. The worst games are Metro 2033, Metro Lastlight, Crysis 3, Bioshock Infinite.

On basically all my other games my card doesnt go above 72c With the overclock and 65c stock. This is stock 950/1250. This is my OC 1150/1500. And these games have the fan speed set to 60%.

But on the games mentioned above even with the fan speed set to 90%, most of them will reach 78 after an hour and sometimes reaching 80-81c which i dont like.

My case is the Zalman z11 plus which has a total of 7 case fans. 120mm front intake/120mm bottom intake/ 1 80mm intake on each side (mainly for the hdd bay)
2 120mm top outake and 120mm rear outake. This is a great case and i thought it was enough to keeo the card cool.

Any ideas?

I've had the same card for about a month, and haven't had any heat issues...but I haven't felt the need to OC yet. According to the last two reviews on Newegg (total of 15 cards, with 8 reported as too hot) there may be some cards that are overheating. How long have you had the card? Does it overheat with the stock settings?
