What can I do to this PC setup to make it cost less, but still play games on high graphics?

Hey guys here are the parts I have picked to build my computer: http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/TnBx

I just want to know what I can do to make it more cost efficient and if it will be able to run games on a high resolution and high graphics? Just tell me what you think overall and what I can do to improve it.

Ditch the intel i5 . Its obsolete in 2 weeks anyway

AMD FX 6300 $130
ASUS M5A97 R2.0 $85

Those changes put enough money in your budget for a Radeon 7870XT , and a CM hyper 212 cooler

It will game better , cost less , and is updateable because even next generation AMD steamroller cpu's will drop right in ....unlike intel who change sockets all the time to force you to buy a mb too

They fail?

"The charts" prove that spending money to upgrade to 2 gigs isn't a good option. The performance boost is literally nothing in every game except skyrim. Why would waste their money on something that's unnecessary?

IF the OP was looking to game on three screens or in 1440P, then I would recommend a lot of VRAM. At 1080P, games are NOT using over 1 gig of RAM, especially on entry-level cards.

sorry, but only fools look at the FPS numbers in benchmark charts and believe that that's all there is to performance.

Maybe I'm wrong, but from everything I have seen so far, 2 GB is only marginally better than 1GB. Even Tom's recommends some 1Gb cards.

I don't mean it disrespectfully, I just haven't seen 1 GB being a major issue. I'm happy to hear your reasoning if you want to explain it.
