I am upgrading from a gtx 470.
My computer as stands just built and all left to buy is video card-rather upgrade from old gtx 470.

AMD FX 6300 Black edition-OC'ed to 4.3 GHZ/Asus m5a99fx 2.0 pro/cooler master hyper 212 evo/antec tru power 750w/120g Samsung SSD/1 tb Seagate HD/ Phantom 410

Both of these cards come with the 4 free games now. Crysis 3/Farcry3/tombraider/and bioshock infinite.
I will be playing these games and WOW Skyrim.
My monitor is a 27" Samsung 1ms 1080p i do not plan to dual monitor or upgrade any time soon.
I am thinking about MSI 7950 TF3 for $319

or Asus 7870 GHZ DC2 V2 open box for $207

Is the 7950 that much faster for price difference. If I need more power in future can't I just Crossfire( 7870)?
I feel like for the price it is just not that much faster and can be spent elsewhere.
I don't want to gimp the pc :)
Thank you for your time.

7970 is fairly comparable to the 7950 in terms of performance ... yes the 7950 is better, but 7870 GHz puts up a good fight and at $100 cheaper and with the setup you have, I'd say go with the 7870 and you can crossfire down the road if you would like.
