Hello, i am planning on building a new pc within the next 2 months. I already had most of the parts that i wanted picked out. However, since i am on a budget, i was wondering if i might be able to reuse an old hard drive from my current computer. The harddrive is 1tb 5400rpm and is from a gateway computer. It also has windows 7 and i already needed an os for my new computer. So in conclusion is it possible for me to do this? Thanks

Sure you can use it. It'll be slow, but you can use it.

AS far as the Win7 install:
1. Is it an OEM version? No, you can't use it. It is tied to the original PC.
2. Is it from a laptop? You'd have to do a full reinstall. (See #1)
3. Even if #1 & 2 don't apply, a reinstall is usually recommended.
