I dont know why, but my Motherboard ( any kind i had ) dies out after me overclocking my cpu which is i7 3770k.

So i just had my mobo changed to Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UP4-TH)
and reinstall, changed my os to windows 8.

but apparently the motherboard died again. it was not the Powersupply problem, it seems like it only happens when i overclock my cpu

CPU never went up over 50 Celsius on load, i have really good airflow.

so My main question is ,

1. Why my Motherbaord Dies (CMOS battery or the board) when i overclock?

2. Do i have to reinstall windows 8 when i swap my motherboard?
(I'm getting same motherboard which is gigabyte ga z77x up4 th

When you do oc, most of time you will kill the cpu first. Maybe you are unlucky to get the bad MB. Or do you use the water cooler? If water leaks then that can kill the MB.
If you get the same MB, then you don't need reinstall the win8, just plug in and ready to go.
