So im testing my components outside before i put it in the case...
i connected my VGA output to a DVI with an adapter...
when i turn it on, everything looks fine...
the fan on my video card is on except that it doesnt show an image on the screen...
i tried connecting the monitor on the motherboard and it shows the boot system or whatever its called...
i just followed the steps on newegg youtube video...

do i have to connect VGA to the Video card for it to work or i can just connect it to the motherboard?

You do if you want to use your video card.

Connect the monitor to your mobo, go into bios, turn off built in graphics and switch first boot device to PEG.

Turn off the computer, plug in the monitor to your video card then restart.
