Trouble setting up new computer

I recently recieved a new ATX raidmax tower to put my computer parts into. Here is the link http://www.ebay.com/itm/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=190458311261&ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123. The parts i am using are straight out of a hp pavilion p7-1414 so you can get an idea of what im working with. After putting everything in the tower today it all started up just fine but I cannot get my usb ports to work or get any display. anyone have any advice ??

yes it is plugged in correctly. some people are telling me that my motherboard may be shot, is that possible even though the computer is starting up ?
