I recently upgraded my computer so that I would be able to play SWToR on at least medium setting. I have been getting between 0-60 FPS and it's never consistent. According to what I found, the FPS number on the left is your current FPS and the one in parentheses is your average over the last 10 seconds. I have my settings set on very low.

My specs are:

Mobo- ASRock A785GM-LE
CPU - AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 5000+ 2.6Ghz
GPU - XFX Radeon HD 6670 2G DDR3 (Model No.- HD-667x-CDFR)
RAM - (2) Crucial 2G PC2-6400 800Mhz
PSU - Thermaltake 430W

If any other information is needed please let me know and thanks in advance for all replies.

Hey you're getting wonky FPS because the GPU you're using is an entry level GPU, DDR2 ram which doesn't really help anything all that much, and an older CPU. You're basically feeling a dated system when used to play a game. you can disable shadows which should help greatly with your minimum framerate and drop the settings to lowest.

You say you upgraded your GPU, did you make sure you unistalled the previous GPU's drivers before installing the new one?

As others have said, most likely your CPU bottlenecking or that's just the FPS you get with a low end card...

Yes, I uninstalled the previous drivers and I upgraded from an 8400GS-Silent. Well I still have a few days left on this card to be able to return it to Best-Buy, I'm on a low budget but what would be a good card that I could swap it out with?

To quote Wikipedia "A bottleneck is a phenomenon where the performance or capacity of an entire system is limited by a single or limited number of components or resources. The term bottleneck is taken from the 'assets are water' metaphor. As water is poured out of a bottle, the rate of outflow is limited by the width of the conduit of exit—that is, bottleneck. By increasing the width of the bottleneck one can increase the rate at which the water flows out of the neck at different frequencies. Such limiting components of a system are sometimes referred to as bottleneck points."

Pretty much it could mean that matter how good a GPU you install if your CPU can not handle the game load then that will be the limiting factor.
A crude way of determining this is open up resource monitor whilst playing a game and check out your CPU load. If it's sitting at 100% then you know there could be a problem there...

In terms of your GPU, what is your maximum budget? You may be better looking at a 7770 or something. Again, this is pointless if it is infact your CPU. Maybe time to upgrade your entire system?

My CPU never runs above 50-60% but most of the time under 50%. I also checked my graphics card and it is at 0% load while the game is running but stays at about 45 degrees Celsius. Is that normal, i've tried so many things to boost performance that I'm concerned I may have gotten a bad VGA card or mobo. Any suggestions as to what I should try would be greatly appreciated. With all settings turned down low and graphics/cpu power on high performance, wouldn't I be able to get good FPS?

PROBLEM FIXED!!!

So, after doing a little thinking and some research I figured I would try updating my firmware on my TV and it worked! I'm still in disbelief that it could have such a drag on my performance, I went from a max of 60 fps but most of the time about 20 to topping out at OVER a 100 on very low settings and now have it set on medium getting an average of about 25-35 and peaking at 80 during conversations or inside buildings. So for any of you that have a TV hooked to your computer.. make sure you update your Firmware. ;)
