I am planning to make my first gaming rig and go with AMD for the budget factor
(Max $600). Here's the wishlist: http://amzn.com/w/IOVE5X6Q4M85

CPU: AMD FX6300
GPU: Powercolor ATI Radeon HD 7770 1GB DDR5
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB)
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-970A
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 1TB
PSU: Corsair Builder Series CX 600Watt
ODD: Asus internal 24x SATA DRW-24B3ST/BLK/G (Black)
Cab: Thermaltake V3 Black AMD Gaming Mid tower

Q1. How is this configuration?
Q2. Will there be any compatibility or bottleneck issues?
Q3. Will it run games like crysis 3, Battlefield 3, NFS The run, GTA 4 with ENB Series, Transformers 2, Mafia 2, Fifa 13 on highest settings - If I run it on 1366 x 768 resolution?
Q4. Where to cut the cost? Is the graphics card OK or should I go with HD7800 series?

1 Great
2 compatible, no bottle.
3. lol probably, not sure about bf3 it's very intensive, but other games ,yeah
4. as you're on a budget, hd78xx would probaly put you out of it, but HD 7790 is a noticeable step from 7770, but with lower price that 78xx.

Hello nmakes,

1) Highly configurable, the CPU can be overclocked down the road (i like to overclock when i got bored with the machine, and not when it first arrives or with first usage), as well as socket AM3+ will have steam roller, so your good to go, and with 600 PSU you more than ready with any future upgrades (maybe with more cores)

2) no i dont see one.

3) ofcourse it will run on highest setting using a low resolution like 1366 x 768, however my advice is to try to increase that resolution abit in games, maybe something like 1680*1080 or 1440*900 if you dont want to go full HD (1920*1080) cause in my opinion your laptop resolution 1366 will make the game look abit bad, so try with higher resolution i know that will chop some frames per second, but its worth it i guess.

4) I truly like to share this piece of advice and way of thinking but it always falls to death ears, time and time again, and pleny of hardware reviews including Tom hardware concluded that you dont need High performance RAM, its just a gimmick and big one, if your willing to listen to me this is what you need :

4 GB memory stick that is single rank DDR3 1333 freq, 1.5v and 9-9-9-24 ... why?

Cause its 100% stable and standard, and RAM is crucial componented in computer stability, and higher performance RAM will only give you a mere boost like 0.5% percent which not worth it, cause you already purchasing an external GPU which contains vRAM with hi-speed GDDR5 RAM, so whats the use of high end desktop RAM ???

You may only consider high performance RAM if you wish to purcahse an AMD APU, other than that there is no need, all your graphic application will go to the GDDR5, and the CPU will use the DDR 1333, and the fx-6300 will not have major boost with going with 1600 freq RAM or 1.65v RAM i reckon that will only cause your system to be more likely unstable.

Best,
Emad.

No, but flipkart has the same thing at about $700 price. It's costlier here than on amazon. But wait, I guess certain things can be shipped to India. And I see that some spoons are placed in the CPU Processors section with Amazon Global Eligible ticked.
