Steam automatically downloads and installs all the updates as long as you have internet connection and you exit the game. The first patches are already through and GTX 670 never really had much problems to start with. Using newest Nvidia drivers you should be getting around 45 FPS average @ 1920x1080 resolution.

the fps are more than 24 so it is not the problem!the issue is that despite the fps and even with the lowest settings the game lags so its a games fault!i have downloaded the update 2 and patch 1.0.2 but nothing changes and lags!

Always turn off SSAA. Other than that, there could be something like AA enabled in your Nvidia driver control panel. You can also try uninstalling drivers, running driver sweeper and trying to reinstall them again.

hmm the game play just fine on my machine (see sig) with everything else on max except no SSAA. i use v-sync though because i hate screen tearing a lot. try using v-sync. my machine also stutter with Crysis 3 but v-sync help a lot reducing stuttering.

it does not have to do with vsync i tried it it does not to do even something with FPS its more than 50-60 and in lower resolution more than 100 fps so it should not shutter or lag and a games problem and i dont really know how to fix it i have tried in some ways but nothing worked for that game!

stuttering can happen even on high frane rates. afaik stuttering has more to do with frame time consistencies. have you tried reinstalling your driver via clean install option from nvidia installer? also try using older driver if latest driver did not fixed your problem. right now i'm still on the latest whql driver and the game work just fine

I'm running two MSI GTX 780s twin frozr paired with an i7-4770k and I had massive stuttering-like problems in MetroLL up until just recently. This is what I did and now the game runs flawlessly.

1. Run MetroLL, go into settings and disable vsync in the in-game video settings. Save, quit game.
2. Under Nvidia Control Panel, I went to the game specific settings and set vsync to "use the 3D application setting" but I left triple buffering on.
3. Then go to rivatuner and set your framerate-limiter to 60.
4. Run game. You will notice the stuttering will be gone, but you'll have massive screen tearing. Go back into the game's in-game options, go to video, then set vsync to "on". (Note: in rivatuner it says to disable vysnc when you have the framerate limiter on so it will function properly, but I've had no problems having both vsync turned on in-game with the framerate limiter set to 60).

This is what I did, and the game runs as smooth as anything I've ever played. I have SSAA set to 2x, since that keeps my temps below 70c. If I set it to 4x, my FPS drop below 60 and my temps skyrocket. Even setting SSAA to "off" is ok because the game still looks amazing. I never uninstalled or reinstalled my game, I didn't remove drivers or update drives. It was that simple fix.

The issue for me was Advanced PhysX, turn it off in the settings and my frames never dropped below 35 at 1440p and everything on Very High.

With Advanced PhysX on as soon as I get to the second level my GTX670 throttles to 50% TDP and I get about 13FPS.

You might also try manually installing PhysX again. I haven't tried that personally though.

This was the only way I was able to get the game to run well. This is my youtube video detailing the steps I took to clear up the weird ghosting and stuttering. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r775Ge-AW-I
