Windows 8 with HDMI

My connection from PC to TV with HDMI was working fine untill I upgraded to windows 8, I have tried all the obvious things, is there a problem with windows 8 and HDMI ?

No but you will need to install new video drivers that are meant for Windows 8.

As long as you have the proper drivers installed Windows 8 will work just fine with HDMI.

Thanks, how do I work out which driver to upgrade to? I have an ASUS R701V and which url would I go to get these drivers

According to a quick google search your notebook has the following video adapter: NVIDIA GeForce GT630M 2GB DDR3 Dedicated Graphics

Notebooks typically employ some digital gymnastics to get external displays working, so I'm not at all surprised that the HDMI conked out after upgrading to Windows 8.

Try installing the driver below
