I have an old pc, with a Gigabyte GA 965P-DS3 motherboard and a Nvidia 8800 GTS which has just failed.

I am looking at buying a new graphic card that would be compatible with my system. I have a 550V power supply.

What would be the maximum the system can handle from the current range of graphic cards from Nvidia? (something up to the GeForce GTX 550 Ti?)

Thanks,

M

What ? intel core 2 duo . It would surely bottleneck a gtx gtx 550 ti or gtx 650 ti . First upgrade your cpu otherwise you wont see much performane increase . Either buy a quad core cpu with more than 3 Ghz of clock speed or buy core i3. What about your budget . Hd 7750 would be sufficient for your cpu but you own more powerful gpu than hd 7750 and even more powerful than gtx 550ti
