I am afraid the answer is NO (for any Optiplex 745 models) - it is not going to fit due to the dual bracket.
Is this your friend's card?

yup this is my friend card exactly.....
but i have seen many posts and vedio on youtube that people have this card in 745
even if i can buy new card my range would be quite low as less than $100
i live in pakistan where price of gtx 550 ti second hand is about 8,600rps or $86
what do u suggest and i have minitower

Do you have second hand online supplier, or only from person to person? If yes, a link would be helpful.

Finding parts there would not be so easy, so get those links.
If you will able to cut bracket in half you can use this card for sure.

Also, there is a problem with power supply - in order to use 550TI your power supply has to be upgraded, so more money.
The only video card to work without power supply upgrade is ATI 7750
or 6670 from older ones. With 7750 you can play Battlefield 3 on the lowest settings. 7750 is about 5-10 percent slower than 550TI.

You find this card cheaper, because you can use it without power supply upgrade. For small money this is the only option you have!
Power supply will cost you considerable amount of money there.

thank................my first choice was gigabyte 6670 my one of friend has 6670 2 gb gddr5 he can play bf3 at ultra at about 23 fps on c2d e6550 but this card can still cannot max out gta 4 & cysis 3 that why i considred gtx 550ti by the way there is another card which i am looking forward

GTX 650 = ATI 7750 more or less see this http://m.tomshardware.com/reviews/geforce-gtx-660-geforce-gtx-650-benchmark,3297-7.html for 7750 if you decide to buy it get only DDR5 version, it is much faster, DDR3 2GB is much slower than DDR5 1GB. Also, 7750 is about 20-30% stronger than 6670. Your choice Asus doesn't require power supply upgrade, 7750 doesn't as well, but 7750 might be cheaper a little bit, just remember DDR5!

thank man for the advice but olny one question is left to be asked and tht is will this card will be able to play gta 5,watch dog theif and other upcoming games in this year..............if processor of my 745 is c2d is e6300 a bit lesser (1.86 ghz ) and will this card say 7750 willl not be bottlenecked by my processor...........

It is very difficult to predict, especially with old PC, I am surprised that 6670 can play BF3 on Ultra - I used MSI GTX550 TI OC for BF3 on medium, but with high FPS of about 75. In order to enjoy the action game FPS (frame per second) should be at least above 40-45 at minimum, otherwise the game is very choppy.
So the answer is most likely no.

By NO, I mean that you would not be able, most likely, play those games on Ultra, and I doubt that 7750 and your CPU will create serious bottleneck.

i had this not for gaming i had it just for movie and surfing coz i bought xbox 360 now it ha sshown red light of death so it is of no use that why i am cosidering my pc now.........by the way my father is on UN mission and i will by the end of this year will try to buy the new xbox one
but for now i will now have to upgrade my processor also..............should not i hope for 6670 1gb ddr5 so my processor will also be not bottle necked an i will play games at least medium..............

This Asus is not going to fit, if you go to the link you gave to me, go to Specifications, and scroll down to Dimensions 7.8 " x 5 " x 1.7 " Inch.

Explanation.

THIS POST APPLICABLE TO MT (MINI TOWER) FORM FACTOR ONLY.

Unfortunately no card that is more than 7.5 inches long or 2 slots wide will PHYSICALLY FIT inside the case - it was found that only single bracket video card can fit due to BTX MOBO, where card internals facing upward towards PC internals, not ATX, where dual card design is blocking another PCI slot by facing downward.
If you prefer the card with beefier fan, then the length of the card must not exceed 7.5 inches, otherwise only "skinny" single bracket, single slot cards can physically fit.

Here comes little problem - first of all I did not check and second, there are very limited options available in Pakistan, however I advised Club 3D to 2 other users from Pakistan (that is why I know suppliers) and I did not hear back from them about any problems.

OK. I read it again. So, do you actually have Optiplex or not?
If you do, it would be complete waste of money to get another used PC, which has to be upgraded. Actually, I just checked your link one more time and I see that this Precision is missing hard drive, so it is missing Windows as well, if it doesn't have Windows serial poste on the case, you will need to buy Windows as well - you will have to add at least about the same money as PC cost already. Also, it has professional, old Video card, which has to be changed anyway, because it is designed for different purpose, not for gaming, so I strongly advise you from getting this particular Precision.

Now question comes to your budget, you just were thinking about getting another old PC to upgrade and spend more money.

What is your real budget, since I helped others from Pakistan, I know your range of money, just state your amount budget, like for an example 20,000 or 40,000, don't convert to dollars.
I found plenty Pakistan used parts and PCs online, so I can see what is easiest and best for you to start, if you want to change your Optiplex, or upgrade.

I have an optiplex 745c(the desktop not te mini tower) I have an xfx hd radeon 7750 an it didn't fit so all I did was grind a piece of the faceplate where the VGA and stuff connect then I bent it. Then I trimmed a piece of the housing for the heat sink off and put the bracket on backwards and know everything works fine. I can tell you what adjustments to the case if you want but you'll need something to cut through metal.
