Hi there.

I currently have an i7-2600k overclocked to 4.4 with a 550ti. I mainly use Maya and the Adobe Creative suite and cinema 4d. I'm looking to get an SSD to improve boot and load times. Looking for either a 128gb or 256gb. Can anyone recommend a good one? Budget is kind of an issue, but I'd push the boat out for a well recommended one.

Also - I'm finding myself getting into gaming. Whilst the 550ti is OK, and helps out with the mercury playback engine in CS6, I think I'd like to upgrade. Can someone recommend the next sensible upgrade please? A good result in CS6 should be kept in mind. I am using a dual monitor set-up.

Thank you all!

For GPU, the 660ti is probably the best bang for your buck.

For SSD, I am a huge fan of the Samsung 840 Pro. I have a 256GB in my desktop - pretty impressive read/write speeds and they're incredibly reliable. CS isn't skinny so you might want to opt for that model - if you were just running CS and didn't need to include game files I think you could fit it on a 128GB drive. You will want to make sure you setup a secondary drive for your scratch disk so you don't fill it up.

Thanks. I have two 1tb hard drives for source media and export. Plus my old hard 500gb drive for installing games and day to day stuff etc. I will mainly be playing League of Legends and similar type games so I think I can get by with a 128gb. Liking the look of the 660ti
