[SOLVED] Foxconn motherboard driver...

Hello,

I recently had to reload Windows XP onto my system and now can't get my on board audio or LAN to work. My motherboard is a Foxconn 6627MA-RS2H (n15235).

I saw a previous post that provided a link to http://www.foxconnsupport.com/download.aspx but can't seem to get the drivers from that website any longer.

I ended up downloading a few drivers (chipset.zip / AC97-5.10.00.6200.zip / 8100_8110-6.63.zip) but that didn't seem to change anything.

Thank you for taking the time to read this - any direction would be greatly appreciated.

When I click on the "save button" icon, then it goes to this screen indicating...

The page cannot be displayed
There is a problem with the page you are looking for, and it cannot be displayed.

Please try the following:
Contact the Web site administrator to inform them that this error has occured for this URL address.
HTTP Error 500 - Internal server error.
Internet Information Services (IIS)
Technical Information (for support personnel)
Go to Microsoft Product Support Services and perform a title search for the words HTTP and 500.
Open IIS Help, which is accessible in IIS Manager (inetmgr), and search for topics titled Web Site Administration, and About Custom Error Messages.
In the IIS Software Development Kit (SDK) or at the MSDN Online Library, search for topics titled Debugging ASP Scripts, Debugging Components, and Debugging ISAPI Extensions and Filters.


Maybe the site is down?

Really strange. I tried using a different browser (Explorer vs. Firefox) and even tried a different computer. Same issue. I attempted to use my wife's iMac and it allowed a file to be downloaded but when extracting it said that there was nothing there.

When I go back to that Imac and try to download anything again, now I am getting the "page cannot be displayed" error.

Clearly I am doing something wrong here. I ended up unzipping the program from the Mac machine and putting in on a USB - that seemed to do the trick getting the file on the USB.

Bringing it over to the XP machine, I extracted the files onto the desktop and installed the driver. Nothing changed on the motherboard - still unrecognized Ethernet. I tried to go into device manager and manually update the Ethernet controller to where t the driver is located - no luck there either. I feel like I am missing something completely but am running out of ideas.

Looks like my issue all along. When I read about n15235 being the same as a Foxconn 6627MA-RS2H I didn't think about verifying if that was in fact my motherboard. After getting an error on one of the driver updates that the hardware could not be found I looked closer at the motherboard to see that it was an A74ML-K. I still couldn't download from foxconnsupport.com but did end up getting the drivers from helpdrivers.com.

And viola, after installing the drivers everything is working.

Thanks for everyone's advice.
