I'm looking for a graphics card that will run any game in the next few years at the highest settings (eg. Ultra or higher equivilant) with all the eyecandy turned on. That will give me the best FPS in games such as Battlefield 3, Planetside 2 and Battlefield 4 and Metro: Last Light with everything maxxed out. Money is not an issue.

Quad GTX Titans since you seem to have no budget.

7990 is the best card you can get right now, yes it better then titan because its a dual GPU card but with 1 GPU its obviously TITAN. But the 7990 has its issues, which hopefully is or is being fixed soon. If you have no budget at all go for 4xtitan. 7990 is sronger then 690.

Titan is the best single card on the market now, 7990 is the most powerful. If you can wait, do so because the next generation of Nvidia and AMD cards is only a month or two away.

Well I should have specified, $1000 is my budget. But I was wondering which would be best for the games I listed and for the future, GTX Titan or HD7990 :\

The pure gaming card under 1k is the GTX 690, the 7990 is a monster as well. The GTX Titan is over priced garbage in my opinion typical Nvidia price gouging! If you can wait it will be interesting to see what the GTX 780 has to offer! AMD Volcanic Islands interests me more but that is Q4 2013 :(

The other option SLI or Xfire but it can be a real pain with heat and noise.

Oh the BF4 was demo by EA/DICE was powered by QUAD 7990's just an fyi

It depends on your monitor resolution. Best bet would be to get a 690 or 7990.

I'd be playing at 1080p or 1920x1080 resolution.

Only 1 monitor, also if I should get the 690 how well would the 780 stack up against it?

The 780 should be somewhere between the Titan and the 680 in terms of performance and pricing.

HD 7990 is technically the most powerful of the lot, but it has massive frame latency issues that absolutely kill the gaming experience. AMD has an experimental driver in the works that uses something called frame-spacing (similar to Nvidia's frame-metering) - that removes the choppiness and lag, but there's no word on how many games it will work on, or even when it will be released (probably 2 or 3 months into 2014). You can read more about that here (and I really recommend you do) : http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/radeon-hd-7990-review-ben...

TL;DR: GTX 690.

Actually as Tom's hardware said in their review, The best high end value SLI atm is GTX770 which it will cost around $800 and it will be faster than GTX690 while it will not have the poblems that AMD drivers have atm from the FCAT analysis.

Edit: if you can squize 2-3 hundreads more you can get SLI 780 which would be an overkill in my opinion for a 1080p monitor but its a powerhouse.

Edit2: From Tom's Hardware:
Quote:
Enthusiasts ready to go big with multiple GPUs should be looking to Nvidia’s cards until AMD can sort out the issues with its frame pacing that we saw affect Battlefield 3, BioShock Infinite, Crysis 3, Far Cry 3, and Tomb Raider. Now you’re looking at two GeForce GTX 770s for $800, one 690 for $1,000, two 780s for $1,300 or two Titans for $2,000. The 770s are comparatively a great deal for enthusiasts gaming at 2560x1440. Need a little more muscle? You can add a third 770 and still spend less than two GeForce GTX 780s.

There’s also the issue of memory capacity to sort out. We didn’t have any trouble running out of steam on our 2 GB cards at 2560x1440. However, as you step up to 5760x1080 and higher, 3 and 4 GB models are more appropriate. Expect to pay somewhere around $50 more per GeForce GTX 770 4 GB. A pair still lands you at $900. And although we haven’t run tests with three 770s yet, if Nvidia’s historical scaling numbers apply here, you’re still better off with three GeForce GTX 770s for $50 more than two 780s.

You can get 2 x GIGABYTE GV-N770OC-2GD GeForce GTX 770 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 for $799.98 total or you can add $100 and for $899.98 get 2 x GIGABYTE GV-N770OC-4GD GeForce GTX 770 4GB 256-bit GDDR5 if you want the more VRAM.
Needless to say both cards destroy GTX690 for $200 or $100 less.
