Hey there!
Been thinking of buying a laptop whose specs are as follows :
1. 8gb ddr3 ram
2. i5 (3rd gen) processor
3. 2GB AMD Mobility Radeon HD 7670M
4. Windows 8

Will it be able to handle demanding games like NFS Most Wanted, Skyrim, Battlefield etc.?
Also please rate the laptop out of 5 in terms of gaming performance.

with that card, you are looking at about 30fps with a mix of low and medium detail settings. the same goes for most wanted( they run on the same engine.) skyrim at the same settings roughly 35 fps. if you are serious about gaming on a laptop, id look for something with a 7730m or a laptop with a geforce 660 or higher. the 7670m is good for gaming, as long as you turn the detail settings down.

considering that mostt laptops have a 1366x768 resolution the 7670M is a good card. It performs arround the GTX 550m. It beats the hell out of the Intel HD 4000 witch ofc eats up your ram aswell. You can game on medium / high most of the games with lowered shadows and no MSA

I have AMD HD 7670M on my laptop and i have overclocked it a little. I have been playing L4d2 in 1600x900 Max settings includin the Antialiasing 16X with all the shadows etc on max FPS 45-80. I THINK IT IS PRETTY GOOD FOR A LAPTOP HUH?

You can reach those fps only on the newest drivers from AMD (AMD CATALYST 13.6 BETA 2)

I have an i5 with amd 7670m 2gb plays BF3 ok on medium with a couple of settings on high. Just downloaded the BF4 beta and at this mimute in time will not play the game at all.

So yes overall I would say not a bad spec foe a laptop.

Yes, the 7670M is powerful enough to handle those games. It performs less than an entry level gaming PC, but with 1366 x 768 resolution, you will be getting the same FPS with an entry level gaming PC at 1920 x 1080. I would rate it 3/5. The performance is good but it's not amazing. Nevertheless, portability is something that a full-fledged PC can never match.

I have the same gpu i.e HD 7670m 1gb ddr3 with an A8 4500m and 8gb ddr3 ram
from my experience so far this is economy gaming gpu because I was able to play all games with pretty high settings and 1366x768p, exceptions include gta 4 which is a crappy console port, you should be really satisfied with its performance. here's the link to my facebook pages where you can find more info about this card
