AMD Phenom II x4 965 BE heat technology?

Hi, does an AMD Phenom II x4 965 BE CPU have heat technology to turn off mobo when hot to avoid burning itself and breaking the motherboard? Does it have throttling technology to try to cool the CPU down when on max load?

I am asking that since once, I watched an old youtube video (From TomsHardware) that shows AMD CPUs burning when heatsink is removed, where Intel CPUs could survive: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y39D4529FM4

Yes, newer AMD chips do throttle down and in worst case scenario they shutdown the PC, you even ca select warning temps in BIOS
