I'm thinking about jumping on a deal for an i5-3570k, a new motherboard, and it also comes with a stick of Corsair DDR3 8gb ram.
My current motherboard fried so I figured I'd upgrade my motherboard and processor. Currently I have 8 gigs of G.SKILL Ripjaws (4 x 2gb) and I was just going to reinstall that in the new motherboard. Since the Corsair Ram comes with the combo is it a bad idea to run 2 x 2 gigs of G.Skill ram and 1 x 8 gigs of Corsair ram? Both are 240-pin DDR3 SDRAM 1600 (PC3 12800).
I don't mind just running the single 8gb stick if thats going to cause compatibility issues (i'll probably just get another stick down the line).
