is it booting up? if you shine a light on the screen can you see the desktop?

Can you connect an external monitor to the laptop? If so, does that work? You might need to push a button on your laptop to switch from laptop screen to external screen (read the manual on how to).
If both screens don't show anything, your VGA chip might be dead. Happens frequently with laptops, because they get to hot.

did you install any new hardware? Try unplugging remove battery hold power button down for 10 seconds that will drain any stored power then hook it back up and try turning it on again.

Charge light stays on. Don't think its the power supply. Try to connect an external monitor.

I haven't installed any new hardware and I unplugged the computer, removed battery, and pushed the power button.Nothing!Just figuring out how to hook up to my TV.lol Truth!

I'm getting nothing on the TV.No lights come up on the computer.Seems like there's no power, but the power light is on.

You must check first your adapter with a voltmeter, it should give 19 volts for the laptop. After if the adapter is good we can speculate what component is defective.
May 20, 2013 10:37:11 AM

I don't know what that is.

Does the fan run when the power light is on?
May 20, 2013 1:42:55 PM

Yes the fan is on.Just turn the computer on and it works! After 2 days!Only issue is we don't know what happened and what to do if it happens again.Any ideas?

And my computer screen went black again.Same thing.

Might sound strange but try to take out the memory and put it back. If that doesn't change anything, then it might be a bad monitor cable.
Try to close and open the screen a few times, maybe then after a few times the screen might come back.
May 22, 2013 7:24:45 AM

I took out the memory and put it back.I also opened and closed the screen.Still nothing but thx for trying.

You know someone with a monitor to test? And you know which button(s) to use to switch from laptop screen to external screen?
Press and hold FN (left of space), then press F4.
