Upgrading from Dual core to Quad Core. Help

I am maxed out w/4GB memory & my PC runs great except when streaming Netflix. Youtub is even fine.

I have a CQ60 laptop w/AMD dual core 2.0 GHZ & I'm considering upgrading to a quad core CPU, like an AMD - Athlon II X4 3 GHz Processor

I'm unsure this upgrade will be compatible with my system. Does anyone have any advice?

You can't replace laptop CPU with a desktop CPU. They are different.
And it's a huge PITA to go poking around laptop CPU's.

But just to be sure, ask the manufacturer whether it's possible to upgrade.
