I just bought these PC components below. This is my first time building a desktop pc so I really don't want to screw up. Thanks ;)

Case: Rosewill Black Gaming ATX Mid Tower Computer Case CHALLENGER-U3

PSU: SeaSonic S12II 620 Bronze 620W ATX12V V2.3 / EPS 12V V2.91 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Power Supply

Motherboard: GIGABYTE GA-970A-UD3 AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard

Memory: CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9B

CPU: AMD FX-6300 Vishera 3.5GHz (4.1GHz Turbo) Socket AM3+ 95W Six-Core Desktop Processor

GPU: SAPPHIRE 100354OC-2L Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition 2GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 CrossFireX Support Video Card

Primary HD: Seagate 600 Series ST120HM000 2.5" 120GB SATA III MLC Internal Solid State Drive (SSD)

Storage drive: Western Digital Caviar Green WD15EZRX 1.50 TB 3.5" Internal Hard Drive

OS: Windows 8 64bit

I also might take out a dvdr drive from an old dell desktop to use.

I am good to build? I've read some online guides and it doesn't seem that difficult to build, but at the same time I feel like there can easily be unexpected issues.

Looks good to me however that case can be a tad cramped inside depending on how the sata ports are on that mother board and how wide it is. I assisted a friend last year build his first computer with that case, the mounting holes for the motherboard standoffs have paint in them so they can be a lil tricky to get the standoffs screwed in. The key to making sure everything goes smoothly is take your time don't rush putting it together. And you can scavenge parts like the dvd drive from your old computer. As you assemble it try to figure out how to route your cables so they're hidden and not blocking air flow. Look through the motherboard manual it'll help you when you go to plug in the front panel connectors they can be a pain to see once the board is in the case. For the video card don't use the drivers on the disk they're always outdated, download the latest from AMD to a usb drive. Other than that good luck with your build and let us know how it goes or if you have any issues.
