Hello, I've got a xbox 360 slim, got it around last year, anyways, I know taking apart the xbox would void warenty, but, would taking the side plastic grills do any damage?

The reason im asking, is beacuse, when i put my hand ontop of the fan, there is almost No air coming out, only heat... It does not feel like a laptop fan running on the lowest setting, I wonder if its full of dust?

Is there any way i can check if its full of dust? Beacuse, I do not need the RRoD Or RDoD, Just beascuse its full of dust. I can clean computers out, but, without taking the Xbox apart, its pretty much impossible....

Shine a flashlight into the grate on the side where the fan is and make sure it's moving and look to see if it's blocked with dust.

Honestly, the slims don't get too hot, so there isn't a lot of airflow and if you feel heat coming out, that's good, means the heat's not staying inside the system.

Lastly, taking a part a slim isn't that easy for the first time if you don't know what you're doing. Trying to get the faceplate off without ripping the super thin ribbon cable that controls the eject button and power button is a very common problem that many people screw up. lol.
