I will be purchasing a new destop by the end of the month. My specs are:

AMD fx 6100 processor
Nvidia gtx 650 graphics card
4gb ddr3 ram
500gb hdd

My main purpose is gaming of course and also some Microsoft office( presentations, pdf and stuff). What should I choose Windows 7 or 8?

Whichever you prefer/is cheaper. There is no gaming benefit for one vs the other.

First use windows 7 Professional 64 it's lighter than Ultimate then you can ubgrade it to Win 8 Professional.

For my opinion I prefers Win 8 Pro it's faster than Win 7 :)

There's no performance difference, but Direct X 11.1 is Windows 8 exclusive, so I'd say Windows 8 is just a little bit better than Windows 7 based on that alone.

Windows 7 because a lot more game platforms support it and not every platform yet supports Windows 8.. But that's just my opinion it's totally up to you.

If you install Win 7 Pro then you upgrade it to Win 8 it will be like this (Win 8 Based 7), so you will get the game platforms supports and other Win 7 features except Start button :pfff:
