My Toshiba Satellite L775 was stuck at 15% complete configuration of a service pack update, I set it aside to wait, and my two year old came over and pushed the power button. When I turn it back on, it just goes straight to a black screen. I tried turning it on and pressing F8, but nothing happens. Anyone know what I should do?

Pull the battery and power cord out and then try to turn it on. Put the battery and power cord back in and see if you can get to the BIOS screen.

Then a local shop might help. It could be a BIOS issue or a hard disk one.

Thanks, after taking the battery out and trying again, it booted up and then reverted the failed configuration. Problem solved!
