Hello,
I am planning to buy the Amd a10 5800k apu.
I also want to use an external GPU.
So,which would be better,a single GPU like amd hd 7790 or hd 6670 crossfire or a single GPU like 6670 or 5770???

A10-5800K? If u prefer 4-core amd cpu, better try phenom II x4, it's selling on newegg at a better price(less than 100 bucks). Old CPU but still powerful enough, can be overclocked up to 4 ghz. And choose a hd 7700 series card or better. APU crossfire is weaker than a hd7700 card, don't even think about it. (PS: hd7750 doesn't need a 6-pin external power support, if your psu isn't powerful enough.)
