All movies saved on external HD won't play.

I have this new 2 TB external HD. I have tried saving several movies onto it but it seems that nothing, not even one, of the movies that I saved ever worked.

Additional details:
I can see the external HD in My Computer.
If I tried to save a folder with a movie inside, it would save the folder but I cant see the movie file (storage space is taken up).
I can save images, pictures, files fine, as long as they are not inside a folder.

Any kind of help is appreciated.

Nope. What I mean is that I get from a source computer where all the movies are downloaded. I guess most of them are camrip avi files. Thing is, when I try to save them on my 8gb USB, they seem to work fine and dandy when I want to watch them on my laptop. Its just that when I save them on my external HD, there seem to have errors or so.

Btw, thanks for giving attention to my problem.

I tried copy/paste just now on both my regular usb and my external. It still wont work on the external. It might be a problem concerning partitions since its a new external. What do you guys think?
