OCing GTX 560 Ti to 1.0 GHz, This is normal?

I OCed my EVGA GTX 560 Ti to 1 GHz but with no experience I put voltage to Max and GPU Clock to 1000 MHz, run the test for 15 min and get around 700 FPS.
Now, I dunno if I'm doing good or not :(

Sorry it took so long, I had some friends over and had no time. But the basics to overclocking a gpu go like this: (the oc you have above is ok as well, but you can get more out of it).

First, download furmark from here: http://www.ozone3d.net/benchmarks/fur/
Next, get a piece of paper, or an excel document ready and make a chart with four headers. Clock speed, voltage, temperature, and mem speed.
Run the test once before you do anything, at stock speeds and record the results. This is to get a base score/temp reading.

One thing to note, this will take some time, so if it takes a few hours, do not be surprised (not the test, the whole procedure).

You can bump up to the overclock that you have right away, because you have already...

Do not put the voltage to max, that is a surefire way to make yourself a paperweight.

I have to go do something now, but in a few hours I will explain how to overclock. Until then, back down the voltage, because you can begin degradation of your gpu.

I don't go anywhere near maximum voltage

I'd be concerned with how many phases your VRM has at that level of voltage it could go poof. The EVGA SC has 4 phases, the Asus TOP and Gigabyte have 7, MSI twin Frozr has 6

Thanks Jack for your help, I did test the VGA at 1K GHz, MEM: 2112 MHz, 1.25V with:

Furry EVGA test... it Pass (700 FPS)
Tessy EVGA test... it Pass (185 FPS)
Furry-Tessy Donut test... it Pass (570 FPS)

If this OK?

You can bump up to the overclock that you have right away, because you have already confirmed that it works. Once you have done that, run furmark to test stability, just in case. Do not use an oc that goes above 80 degrees, it will fry your card. record the result.

Increase your clock speed by 15Mhz now. Once you are done, run furmark for stability and temps. If it is stable, and the temps did not exceed 80 degrees, then increase another 15Mhz. If it is not stable, then increase the voltage to about 1.3V and rerun the test. It should be stable, but again, if temps exceed 80, back it down to the last good oc. Record results on chart each time. Continue this procedure of increasing clock speeds and voltage until either it is unstable, or above 80 degrees. Also do not go over 1.4V, however, if it is stable at 1.4V, then try it at something like 1.37V, etc, to decrease temps a bit. Once you cannot make it stable, or are above the temp or voltage limits I stated, back down to the last good OC that you wrote down.

Once you have hit max OC on the clock speeds using the above method, it is time for memory speeds. You do the exact same thing as above, but you do not increase the voltage, you just increase the mem speeds until it is unstable and use the last stable clock. Make sure to run furmark after every single change you do, for both mem speeds, clock speeds, and voltages.
