Ok, this mobo is socket 1366, and intel have moved on from this socket 1366, so you shouldn't expect to see great performance. However the best value for money would probably be the i7 930, it's a beast of a CPU. Any other 1366 CPU's are overpriced imo.

^Too right. but anything above the 920 is gonna break the bank even if you do have deep wallets. the 980x costs a lot. I suggest you get a 3770k and a motherboard to go with it. You can transfer all the other components to the new system

Can't find what size the case is, but the only thing I got is 'large' so I'm assuming it at least mid-ATX size.
So any ATX motherboard would fit.
I can't really do much more for you if you don't say a budget, what is it?

6 sticks of 1.5gb? Never heard of that before lol.
Ok, if you live near a micro centre you can get the http://www.microcenter.com/product/388577/Core_i5_3570K_34GHz_LGA_1155_Processor
and the http://www.microcenter.com/product/387627/Z77_Pro3_1155_ATX_Intel_Motherboard
=$260.
Otherwise for that budget, you are going to have get a cheaper AMD setup.
Cpu - AMD FX-8320

Mobo - GIGABYTE GA-970A-D3 AM3+

= $235
Also, the motherboard has 4 x ram slots. And you didn't specify your ram type (DDR2 or DDR3) because the motherboard is DDR3.
