Plugging PC into power strip

Is it safe to plug my PC into a power strip? I would think the answer would be yes, but there is also something else. The power strip is plugged into a 3 to 2 prong adapter, which is obviously plugged into a 2 prong outlet. Is this safe? Is there not as much grounding as there is with a 3 prong outlet?

I never use a power strip for my computer. Why introduce usually cheap electrics between the power supply and your house.

A proper 3-prong to 2 prong adapter should have a wire to attach to the metal screw in the faceplate of the outlet to allow the additional ground.

No, my house has both. This is just an old one that's never been changed for some reason.

Oh and the powerstrip is just for the PC, no other electronics are plugged into it,
