I have a gigabyte X79 UD3 motherboard. Recently I bought an Nvidia K4000 quadro graphics card and tried to install it. The computer doesn't boot. It freezes at the BIOS screen. I can't even enter the BIOS.
I tried different PCIEX slots on the motherboard, updated the bios. Nothing. ..same result.
By the way, the card is fine. It works on other PC's with gigabyte motherboards.
Any help please?

Try to change your bios setting in PCI ROM Priority to Legacy ROM (don't use EFI ROM). Try boot into bios using other graphics card and change the PCI ROM setting in BIOS Features section.

I have resolved my problem with Gigabyte GA-X79-UP4 + Quadro K2000D.
