hi all,, not shore if ive damaged anything but the other night I was fidilling around in my gaming rig and pulled the uv light switch inside witch was loose and part of the switch touched the metal inside my case and blew the psu,, pc went off instantly,,,turned it back on fine afterwards but gaming now there seems a lot less performace than there before my dosy miss hap????anyway my question is what sort of damage could it have done to my pc? had anti surge suport on in the bios if that helped..????????

Well what you did would be called a short not a surge there for anti surge protection would have nothing to do with it. Beyond that it is hard to tell what damage you could have done and depending on a lot of factors if damage extends beyond the PSU. With any luck it may have just tripped the short protection built into the PSU and shut it off. If that is all that happen the lesson learned do not play around inside the case with your rig powered on it is not really a good idea for any reason.
