VPN setup help - Draytek 2600

So YOU configured the draytek router w/ pptp at work? Seems unusual, unless this is your own business. As far as the firewall, it's the firewall at the work that matters most and needs to open port 1723 (and port forward if the draytek isn't the primary router there) and allow protocol 47 through it (w/ vpn-passthrough). Your own router at home also needs to have vpn-passthrough enabled.

I just want to be sure we have the correct picture here, because usually in a work situation, it's some administrator that's done all the setup work for you (including the firewall), verified it works for everyone who needs it, etc. All you do as a telecommuter is configure your vpn client. And as I said, the only issue for you beyond your local client configuration is making sure your router allows vpn-passthrough. If you have any doubts about the router, you can always connect your vpn client machine directly to the modem (assuming the modem is a separate device).
