hi everyone

today i've received my gtx 670 from Msi ( ordered from amazon.fr). This is actually the second time, cause the first time i ordered it, it was already been used from someone else, so i decide for a full refound ( at that time, i ordered it from an italian eshop, cause i live in italy).

Well first of all i have to say the card is not bad conserved, but on its back has a sort of thin translucent coat in some areas: i don't know where this thing comes from. Maybe it's like this from the factory and it's pretty normal ( maybe someone that have this card can confirm it or not ? )

I actually can tell you that is a second hand card because the manual is a little bit creased, so someone at least has opened the box ( i have to say that the plastic in which the card was in it was the first time i think it has been opened )

Last: i just mounted the card and istalled the drivers. But if i open gpuz with skyrim opened i can see that the clock speed is exceeding the factory values ( and i haven't oclocked it for sure! )

Maybe, if it has been used from someone else it as been "modified" somehow?

Well what would you do in this case? The card seems running ok by now, and for sure i don't care about a creased manual, but you know, since i payed quite good money for this card i would like it to be really "new" ( or is so difficult to find in an eshop something that hasn't been used yet? )

Thanks for any suggestion !

The overclocking is normal, and is due to the turbo boost. It will even clock beyond frequency that the manufacturer states as the turbo frequency. My GTX 660 has a clock speed of 1033MHz and a stated turbo speed of 1098MHz, yet will reach 1132MHz in games.

However pictures of the manual and the back of the card would help. Did you buy the card directly from amazon themselves, or via a seller on the amazon website?

It doesn't necessarily mean that the card was used, even a used card wouldn't have these scratches and dirt prints. It seems like a bad treatment of the card and I doubt it was in factory. Did you get the card well-sealed? Did the first card appear to be like this one?

Yes, the card was in the "usual" plastic bag, and it was sealed with the classic "brand tape", so for that was ok. The first card was like this one, but uglyer, scratches and dirt prints basically all over the surface.
By the way the card is selled and shipped from amazon. I'm pretty disappointed they sent me such a ruined piece of ****
