My computer was working fine but I wanted to reinstall Vista. So I did that and the installation goes through, albeit taking longer than it normally does (3 hours~). Now when I turn it on, the computer gets stuck at the screen with the loading bars. I am unable to boot the computer in Safe Mode. I've tried to do a installation repair with the installation CD but it has been running for 5+ hours with no effect. Any advice?

It sounds like an issue with the hard drive(s). Download Hiren's Boot CD and give the drives a test.
