CPU good enough for dual SLI GTX 660?

Hey guys, I recently built a budget gaming rig back in April. I have the FX 6100 at stock speeds and the GTX 660 SC. In the future I would like to add another GTX 660. From what I have read on here it looks like that CPU will really bottleneck my performance. My question is, if I can crank this CPU to 4.3-4.5ghz will that be sufficient enough to support dual GTX 660's in SLI?

I think I would spend the money on another CPU and Motherboard before I bought a second 660. I do think you will experience bottlenecking with the FX-6100 with certain games for suer.

Your problem is not a CPU bottleneck...the FX6100 could push a GTX 660. If you want a newer CPU, then go to the FX6300...the single core performance will be better, and you could upgrade to PD for about $100-115.

You could go to an SLI solution...though...what game(s) is this for?

Don't let the hype get to you, you won't bottleneck.

Well a single GTX 660 is okay for now but I wanted to increase the graphics performance by adding another 660 a little later. But I keep hearing the CPU is too weak for dual GTX 660.

If the FX8350 won't bottleneck 4 HD 7970s, then your FX6100 won't bottleneck 2 GTX 660s.
