Hello, I am new to the forum and want to say hi to everyone. And yes I am a noob when it comes to computers. I have decided I want to make a new gaming machine but I am not sure if the components I picked out are the best and are compatable. I live in holland and after doing some research I found out that the cheapest stores are in Germany. I would like to get parts from www.mindfactory.de
Budget : 900 (euros) including complete computer, os, monitor (no mouse or keyboard)

I have chosen for and Fx- 8350 since it is cheaper than and i5 3570K and I have heard that the new playstation and xbox will also have 8 cores (I hope new games will support this)

have you aver heard of mycom.nl? they sell this same stuff for a lower price and they are everywhere in holland. btw one advice get rid off thet hd7870 and get this one http://www.mycom.nl/hardware/videokaarten/10570/sapphire-hd7870-oc2gb. and also i would change the motherboard by this one http://www.mycom.be/computer-1/componenten/moederbord/gigabyte-ga-970a-ud3-socket-am3.html?___SID=U (i know that it is on mycom.be but they are sold out on mycom.nl) or you could save like 25€ and get the same motherboard there. and with all the savings you have done you now can get like a cheap 120 ssd like this one: http://www.mycom.nl/hardware/solid-state-drive/alle-ssds/10481/sandisk-extreme-120gb

No you're actually better off buying from Holland. I know most EU countries if you try to ship from one to another, you will get seriously hosed with high shipping fees, import taxes, and customs fees.

I wouldn't go with an FX-8350 personally, I'd get an i5.

Try something like this:

Case: Corsair 200R - € 49, 99 *
PSU: XFX Pro 550W - € 57, 90 *
Motherboard: Asrock H77 Pro 4/MVP - € 81, 90 *
CPU: 3.4GHz Intel Core i5-3470 - € 184, 90 *
RAM: 8GB Corsair Vengeance DDR3 1600MHz - € 66, 90 *
HD: 500GB Seagate Barracuda ST - € 53, 90 *
Optical: LG Bulk DVD Burner - € 16, 99 *
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon HD 7870 GHz Edition - € 212, 90
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit - € 99, 90

Total: € 825, 28

- Quad core Intel CPU is better for gaming than FX-8350 is
- Radeon HD 7870 GHz edition
- Better power supply and case

Then you can add whatever monitor you want.

I would personally go for the zalman z11. Wait till haswell is because the 1155 socket is dead. And I would reccomend buying from azerty.nl they have one of the best custumer services, mycom is also pretty good.

Well that's not the only reason one would wait for the new socket. And Intel is going to keep making CPUs for Ivy Bridge and Sandy Bridge until people stop buying motherboards. Socket 775 CPUs are still out there, so are 1366 and 1156.

That's fine for the video card. I'm personally more of an Intel fan than an AMD fan.

Mycom doesn't sell the 7870XT. Should I look for another website with similar prices?

Yeah I live in Los Angeles, I can access stores from countries all around the globe. They might not ship here but that doesn't mean I can't browse their inventory. They don't call it the "world wide web" for nothing.

mediamarkt made a mistake, it's not a 3d monitor
thought you were dutch, don't know if you want the en windows instead NL version..and you got the upgrade version, cheaper but not the version you need.

You're better of with this build:

http://azerty.nl/winkelmandje/winkelmandje/?legen=1&product%5B425856%5D=1&product%5B280737%5D=1&product%5B530217%5D=1&product%5B576423%5D=1&product%5B452330%5D=1&product%5B401249%5D=1&product%5B563658%5D=1&product%5B555331%5D=1 you can go for a cheaper board like the Asus m5a97 evo 93,- or the gigabyte ga970a ud3 80,-

Do you actually know how to build a pc?

Okay but do you still think the monitor is good for gaming?
For the windows os I would need this one
Microsoft Windows 8 OEM NL ( in the desription it says Full packaged product (FPP) ).
I have never build a pc but I have looked through many forums for the last two months and I have taken apart a few old computers and fixed one of them. Is my build compatable or what is wrong or less good with the motherboard I selected?

btw: I am german, but I live in holand (dutch is my 1st language), I am pretty good at English (on international school)

Okay I'm dutch and building a pc isn't that hard. Your build is compatible but I just like the asus board better, It just won the smart buy award on this site http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/990fx-motherboard-review-amd-fx,3464-20.html
And yes you need the windows that costs (somewhere near) 80,- because the 50,- ones are just upgrade version for when you already have windows 7 installed. I like windows 7 more but that's just me.

New list.. From amazon as it has all my preferred components
PSU: XFX 550 Core edition -- 59 euros
MOBO: GigaByte GA-970A-UD3 -- 80 euros (i think this board is just fine but without sli/crossfire)
OS: Windows 8 64bit fullversion -- 83 euros
CASE: Zalman Z11 Plus -- 60 euros (i think it looks great + usb 3.0) (+1 for amazon)
CPU: FX 6300 -- 116 euro (just as good as the 8350 for gaming i believe)
GPU: Sapphire Radeon HD 7870 XT -- 240 euro (I heard it is a good card) (+1 for amazon)
RAM: Corsair Vengeance 1600, cl9 2*4 -- 72 euros
Monitor: Asus VE248H 60,1 cm (24 inch) -- 166 euro (good monitor 2ms...) (+1 for Amazon)
Controller: Xbox 360 wired controller for windows - 30 euros

Total: 908 euros (maybe I will need to pay for shipping but it might be possible to send it to family I have in germany (german amazon) and then pick it up).

or the exact same setup from mindfactory for 873. This would be 900 with shipping or something

was is the same posotion as you, sapphire ones were out of stock so I'm going with the club 3d one. When you're not oc'ing you wont notice any difference in performance, the test on hardware.info showed sapphire was sometimes 1 or 2 fps better but thats all within margin of error. cooling yes sapphire is a bit better but you wont notice it.
Many people say the colormaster(same as 3d) is a great oc'er but every card is different so you'll never know how far a card can oc. I don't know how well the sapphire one oc's.
I'm building my pc when haswell comes out. when haswell is not that much better than ivy and costs to much I'm going for amd(fx 8320) because I'm aslo videoediting. I will go for sapphire if it's in stock when I'm buying.
btw there a problem with some sapphire cards that have the dual cards, thet sometimes get a terrible coilwhine(incredible annoying sound).
conclusion club 3d or sapphire are both great cards.

(you don't have to wait for haswell because your budget is lower then mine. the fx will be the best cpu in that price range even after haswell releases.)
