Hi all,

So here's the condensed version of the story. Two weeks ago, I ran a poweful rendering program on my computer for four days at about 14 hours per day nonstop. My laptop held up fine and showed no major problems. A few days ago, I went to play a game, and about five minutes into the game, my laptop shut itself down due to overheating. The vent was blasting really hot air, and my whole computer was warm. I was kind of confused, as it was an older game, and my computer had never had a problem with it before. My initial suspicion was that I perhaps had hurt the GPU, so I tired a different game with the same result. At this point I thought it was the GPU. But then I realized that it might also be the fan, because it was constantly running for those four days. I've also noticed that its been running a little more than usual.

So I guess my question is: Does this sound like my fan is going bad or my GPU?

Let me know what you think! Or if you need any more info.

Specs:

HP G62-x400
Windows 7 Home Premium
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 6370
4 GB RAM

Thanks,

- Sean

You have to open it up and see where is the heat come from, Usually in your conditions you will see some blue color on problem spot and if not just tern it on and feel it.
