Will changing Sata Port Cause issues

I recently unplugged my sata ports to move some stuff around.
While i was Getting ready to reconnect them my friend told me to be sure i plug the harddrive into the Same port as before or it will Reformat my Drive..

Is this True?

i've been googling and getting mixed results on this.. im not 100% sure which port it was in.

my friend just told me that i should be fine as long as its on the Same Colored Sata Port..
Since i dont remember which i had it in before ill just put it in Port 1 and hope for the best
