Cheap-ish Sound Card for Gaming?

So I'm looking into getting a sound card for my rig. I know a lot of people say that its not worth the money because the onboard sound card is decent but its just a possibility for me.

I would like to spend $50 or less, maybe a little more if I have to but I'd rather spend my money on a better headset/speakers than on the sound card.

My Rig:
3570k
ASrock Extreme4
Sapphire 7970 Ghz

Any suggestions? I will use it mostly for gaming.

Thanks!

you answered your own question, besides the budget you mentioned won't get you anything worthwhile compared to modern integrated audio

Thanks! I guess I'll get something nicer when my budget approves it... What do you think of this headset?

i tend to find surround sound headsets gimmicky. these logitech seem fine but ive never been a big fan of headsets in general, i have a nice pair of turtle beach headsets but hardly use them.

if you plan to do most of your gaming with a pair of headsets, there really is no need for a sound card. the asus dx you selected is a good card.
