I'm using the Xbox 360 without the built in wireless, but would like to relocate it in the house. I have a D-Link Wireless N 150 Home Router, and I'm wondering if I could connect in my room, run an Ethernet cable from that to my Xbox, and receive internet... OR Do I need to have an Ethernet cable plugged into the "Internet" port in order for the Router to "produce" internet, thanks in advance.

Edit: I already have a wireless router downstairs, and I'm looking to receive internet wirelessly between the two.

I don't think it has the feature with factory firmware. If you would load dd-wrt or open-wrt on it you can run it in client mode. The key here is you must have rev a of the router I don't know if they ever got it to work on rev b of the 601.

Spend time to really read the documentation before you flash third party firmware. Many times there are slight variations in the versions and procedures and if you do it wrong you will be spending lots of time trying to undo it.
