I recently purchased the steelseries sibera v/2 (w/ usb soundcard). Took me a few to get things working. I ended up going the analog route just for convienience. I have a splitter for headphones and speakers and its nice to not have to manually change between the two.
What I noticed is that my usb soundcard is still technically active even though I have the headset and speakers plugged into your standard jacks, not usb. Am I receiving the benefit from the usb soundcard even if my headset isn't plugged into it?
