No display when switching from integrated gfx to Nvidia GT630 2Gb

I have recently upgraded my HP Pavilion computer by putting in some more RAM and an Nvidia Geforce GT630 2GB in the PCI-E 16x slot. The RAM was no problem and works fine.

However, when I try to boot with the gfx card in situ I get the POST and then black screen whilst windows boots (I can hear the entry music on boot). I have tried the following:

1. Disabled and uninstalled integrated graphics

2. Upgraded PSU to 500W

3. Tried a 650W PSU just in case

I can't install the Nvidia drivers as I can't see to install them and it won't let me when the card is not plugged in.

Specs: HP Pavilion p6-2000ukm
Foxconn H-CUPERTINO2-H61-uA TX motherboard
8GB DDR3 1330 MHz RAM
500W PSU (Don't have exact model number to hand)

Any help greatly appreciated as I have been tackling this for hours now!

Thanks for the quick reply.

I have looked in BIOS but there is very little in there. However, I do notice that when the card is in situ, there is a line that reads "Integrated graphics DISABLE" so it looks like it turns it off automatically

The first thing that comes to mind is making sure the cable from the monitor is plugged into the graphics card and not the motherboard. It hasn't been mentioned, and it's an easy mistake to make (I've done it more than once).

Haha I've checked. It's definitely in the gfx card. Although I can only use the DVI port and not the HDMI or VGA ports. Likely to be an issue?
