My build:
AMD FX6100
EVGA GTX 670 FTW
8gb ram
700 watts
ASROCK N68-VS3 FX Mobo

I want to upgrade my cpu and mobo to this
Intel Core i5-3570K Ivy Bridge 3.4GHz (3.8GHz Turbo) LGA 1155 77W Quad-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 4000 BX80637I53570K

Will this processor not bottleneck my gpu, the fx6100 bottlenecks my gpu.

That would not really be a cost efficient upgrade. Get a 8350 or 6300. Piledriver is much approved from Bulldozer.

The problem is my motherboard is really bad. I cant OC my comp due to the motherboard. and i am getting horrible FPS on BF3 with this damn amd chip.

Well I would not OC on that MSI board much either, its just not good enough.

Why not get a better 990FX board and then OC your 6100 to get those nice frames.

There is a nice one at a decent price.

Keep in mind you are gonna need a decent CPU cooler to OC if you want to get rid of that CPU bottleneck. But you should see huge improvements the more you OC. In time you can always move to a more powerful CPU too that will work on this board. IF AMD stick to AMD3+.

Both SHOULD come with paste, but from time to time they do not. So yeah, should have it though.

Its a pleasure! And let me know what kind of OC you achieve and what improvements you get.

SO i got the gigabyte 990fxa ud3. I have a solid OC from 3,3 to 4,2 ghz. My fps in bf3 is now a solid 60. I am stil debating on replacing my 6100 i do need some help tho. I have been looking a the 6350 and the 8350. I have tested both on friends comp with the same GPU i have and literally their is a 20 fps difference from them to my 6100 which is crazy. I am on a 200 dollar budget, even with my 6100 OCed I am still having bottleneck issues. For fun i uped the OC to 4.9ghz, it was unstable but i still used 3dmark and heaven. In heaven with 4.9 ghz i got a super 15 fps raise and in 3dmark score went up from 7800 all the way to 9000, so cpu is still bottle necking gpu. SO should i go with the 6350 or the 8350. The 6350 is actually different from the 6300, the 6350 is 125W and stock its 3.9 ghz rather then 3.5ghz which the 6300 has. Would this be a worth while upgrade. I am tired of the 6100, cant deal with it anymore.

if you really want to get a different CPU, the 6350 is a good bet.
