Hello. Few months ago i bought the Asus VG278H. At first, the built-in 3D emitter didn't work. I searched online for a solution and found one, i had to un-plug the power cable while the screen was on. After that the emitter worked fine.

Now after some time of inactivity with 3D (didn't run anything in 3d for some weeks), i tried to play a movie in 3d. Emitter didn't work again. I un-pluged the power cable while the screen was running. Plugged it back in, emitter started working again.

Today, after 4 days of the above, i tried turning the 3D on again. And for once more, the emitter doesn't work. It looks like it works for a maybe day with the solution mentioned above. I'm afraid if i keep un-plugging the screen from the power socket, it will get damaged eventually. However, it looks this is the only way the 3D emitter will turn on.

Is it possible for the screen to get damaged if i keep doing this? Should i call the shop i bought it from?

Thanks.

Yeah, while i love this screen, this problem really gets on my nerves. I paid 600€ for the screen, might as well ask for a replacement.
If i keep un-plugging the screen from power while it's on, wouldn't it damage the screen in a way?

I have the same problem, didn't know the unplugging trick I'll give it a go! But did anyone find any solution? Be great because I really enjoy the 3D but this really is pain in the ass!
